Job Summary

Operates and maintains paint and lacquer equipment to apply costings to snap and button products.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Follows company policies and procedures in regard to Safety, Code of Ethics, Company Rules,

5S, OSHA standards, ISO Quality Standards, ISO Environmental Standards, Work Instructions, and Confidential Information reporting possible violations to Management.

 

  1. Operates paint and lacquer machines in accordance with work instructions.

 

  1. Uses formulas to mix paint and lacquer by using precision measuring equipment. Must be proficient in math.

 

  1. Uses computer systems to operate equipment, check quality, enter production, access product standards, access work instructions, and access safety data.

 

  1. Operates material handling equipment as needed.

 

  1. Inspects product to verify product conformance using product prints, mechanical measurement devices, and computerized color matching equipment.

 

  1. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education/Experience: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
