Job Summary

This position is responsible for executing the daily production plans and managing the day to day production activities for an assigned group of production workers to deliver high quality products to our customers on a timely basis. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining and meeting goals related to performance and efficiency, while meeting quality and service standards. Effective communication with direct reports, colleagues, and management is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
• Plans and schedules workflow for each process and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
• Plans sequence of manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
• Confers with Section Manager to determine status of assigned projects.
• Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Prepares production reports.
• Prepares lists of required materials, tools, and equipment.
• Prepares requisition to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.
• Works with Wings and Microsoft Office on a regular basis with particular focus on Excel spreadsheets
• Responsible for identifying and developing talent in order to optimize human resources to insure maximum production capabilities and encourage employee advancement.
• Maintains a safe work environment and maintaining 5S standards.
• Performs any other duties assigned by management

Supervision and Scope of Position

Directly supervises from 5 to 30 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
