Job Summary

Operating 16-18 Slider Assembly Machines with Safety, Quality and Production as top priorities. Must be able to lift 47lbs., walk, bend, stoop,have use of both hands and have good eyesight.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• OPERATES ASSEMBLY MACHINE OBSERVING ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS, REGULATIONS,  AND OBSERVES GOOD HOUSEKEEPING PRACTICES.  BLOWS OFF ASSEMBLY MACHINES  AS MANY TIMES  NECESSARY TO KEEP ASSEMBLY MACHINES CLEAN.  SWEEP FLOORS TO KEEP CLEAN OF ANY DEBRIS                                                                                 
• CONDUCTS TWO (2) COMPLETE QUALITY CHECKS PER SHIFT, USING PRECISION GAUGE  AND TOOLS.  VISUAL CHECKS QUALITY OF SLIDER PARTS AND FINISH SLIDER CONSTANTLY.                                                                                                                                                                        
• CHECKS PARTS FEEDER BOWLS FOR PROPER LEVEL OF PARTS TO ENSURE EFFICIENT OPERATION OF ASSEMBLY MACHINES.

• FILLS FEEDER BOWLS WITH SLIDER PARTS AS REQUIRED TO PREVENT MACHINE FROM STOPPING.                                         
• CHECKS ASSEMBLY MACHINES FOR ANY STICKING PARTS AND CLEARS ANY STICKING PARTS  PARTS BY USING A PICK OR NOTIFYING ASSEMBLY MECHANIC IF A MECHANICAL PROBLE EXISTS.                                                                                                                                                  

• KNOWS SLIDER PARTS, DIFFERENT FINISHES, UNDERSTANDS JOB CARDS, RECORDS   DAILY PRODUCTION, RECORD MACHINE DOWNTIME, AND MACHINE PROBLEMS, COMMUNICATES ANY PROBLEMS TO ASSEMBLY MECHANIC AS THEY OCURR.                                                                                 
• PERFORMS ANY OTHER RELATED WORK A REQUIRED BY MANAGEMENT.                                                                           

Supervision and Scope of Position

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED (minimum)
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to walk, bend, and stoop
