Job Summary
As a Customer Support Representative at YKK, you’ll be the frontline connection between our customers and internal teams. You’ll handle orders, resolve inquiries, and ensure a seamless experience from order placement to delivery—all while embodying YKK’s philosophy of the “Cycle of Goodness.”
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Receive and process customer orders via phone, email, fax, web, and EDI.
2. Input orders into the system and monitor their status to ensure timely delivery.
3. Resolve customer inquiries related to product availability, shipping, and delivery timelines.
4. Coordinate with Sales, Planning, and Manufacturing to address and resolve customer issues.
5. Track open orders, backorders, and purchase orders.
6. Maintain accurate records and perform general office duties.
7. Comply with YKK’s environmental, quality, health & safety, and confidentiality standards.
8. Performs other general office work as assigned.
9. Reasonable and predictable attendance is required.
Supervision and Scope of Position
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2–5 years of customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing or B2B environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
