Job Summary

The Forecasting and Inventory Planner (II) is responsible for the creation of the forecast and execution of the inventory plan to meet sales and service objectives.  The Forecasting & Inventory Analyst position is NOT remote and must report to the Marietta, GA office. This is accomplished by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. 1. 1. Designing and generating weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports.
      2. Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
      3. Utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets.
      4. Manage inventory targets (including safety stock levels) that are approved by management.
      5. Prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to management (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs. targets).
      6. Continuously improving forecasting techniques, method, and approach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (cont.)

1. 1. 1. Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality).
      2. Relating and measuring the impact of forecast accuracy.
      3. Schedules and coordinates shipments of products to warehouses in the USA and offshore.
      4. Comply with YKK’s Compliance Program Including Environmental, Quality, Health & Safety, and Confidential Information Management Guidelines.
      5. Performs other position-related duties as assigned.

Supervision and Scope of Position

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education/Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Business Administration or Operation Management; or 4 to 8 years of related experience in master scheduling, forecasting and planning and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities
• Experience with DRP/MRP functionality

Certificates and Licenses:  APICS CPIM or CSCP highly desired.

Travel Requirements:  Minimal overnight and local as needed.
